Contract Attorney

Lauren LeBourgeois

lauren-emeryLauren is from Fairfax, Virginia, and graduated from Virginia Tech in 2008. While at Virginia Tech she spent two summers interning for a criminal defense attorney in Alexandria, which prompted her to attend law school. She graduated from Santa Clara University School of Law, in Santa Clara California, in 2012. As a law student, Lauren focused on criminal law and returned to Virginia before her third year to work for a Fairfax criminal defense firm. She competed in the nationally recognized PACE International Moot Court Competition and received recognition in her class for her oral advocacy skills. Additionally, during her second year, Lauren worked part time for a non-profit focusing on providing legal services to individuals with HIV in San Jose, California.

After graduating, Lauren moved to Austin, Texas, and worked as a policy analyst for a State Senator and staffed for his Business and Commerce Committee. She focused on a number of significant state issues including property and casualty insurance, and residential mortgage lending. In 2013 she was hired as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Arlington Circuit Court and returned to Northern Virginia to clerk for the 2014 to 2015 term
